Hello all i hit a brick wall with members of my family
My granddad George Luscombe i no very little about him other then he was put in an orphanage so i have been told He was born in GUERNSEY Channel Islands (1905) i am trying to find records about him and did hope i could also find any relatives of his (dead or alive) such as brothers sisters aunts uncles ect
I am also looking for a John Rowley my dad i no very little about him i believe he was born in Birmingham (UK) i no of one sister he had Pearl and i think he would now be in his 70s if he is still alive
Please can any one help me find out more about the above people

telephoned barnados but my nan has to request her file in writing they wouldn"t tell me anything so we are going to do that tomrrow as my nan is out allday thankyou shirley for putting me in touch with barnados pauline.

try this. its where we went for FIL records they searched for us but didnt find him as a barnardos child but at least it ruled them out for our search.

hi deb im a bit thick when it comes to these things does it mean the ancestry bit that i would have to go and look for birth certificates?

hi shirley if it was barnados how do i go about getting in touch with them?

Never thought to ask what orphanage she was in thanks for the tip my nan aint in at the mo so i will telephone her when she gets in thankyou once again Shirley. with a bit of luck it was barnados and we can go from there. my nan said she would like to know something about her past before it is to late. thanks pauline

does she know which Orphanage . If it was Barnados she can apply for her file . this may give more clues about her mum.

Im looing for my nans mother my nan was born on 17th july 1922 at 4 The Common Edge Market Drayton Counties of Salop and Staffordshire. On her birth certificate is says her mother also called Annie Allman which by the way is my nans name on the birth certificate it lists her mother as a General Domestic Servant of 105 Knighton Bloze or Blize Road that is all the info we have as my nan was put in an orphanage at a young age she remembers nothing of her mother and her fathers name is not on her birth certifiate any help would be gratefully received thankyou Pauline.
