i know not all of my hot matches will read this just thought, like the irish surnames it may be useful for a few people. thought i may aswell try it. :). Paul i don't know what the newspaper detectives is. i have found the entries that you have mentioned, but i don't understand them. are they crimes and such. improper driving, assualt, watering the streets? thank you.

I have had so many hotmatches for avenells recently that there are too many to contact. thought i'd put something on here for all people related to or knowing about the Avenell family.

MY Avenell connection is Rosina Avenell brn c.1880 in pirbright Surrey. her parents were Louisa Stonard 1844 and James Avenell 1845. Rosina had atleast 10 brothers and sisters. Rosina married James Fagan in 1900 and had two sons (that i know of) Fred 1900 and Albert 1903. would love to hear from anyone who knows anything or beleives they have any of Rosinas brothers and sisters in their tree.

all the children, i beleive, were born in pirbright surrey. on Rosina's marriage cert and her sons birth cert place of residence/birth is FELMORE? FARM. oh and just to confuse things on some certs she is avenell or avenill or avenall.
