HELP !!!!I I AM TRYING TO FIND THOMAS BRENNAN BORN ABT 1820 MAYBE IN IRELAND.
CAN FIND NO TRACE ON CENSUS.
FAMILY LIVED IN BIRKENHEAD ON MY GT GT GRANDMOTHERS MARRIAGE CERT IN 1883 HE IS LISTED AS DECEASED PILOT AT SEA.
UNABLE TO TRACE DEATH.HAVE TRIED MERSEY PILOTS BUT THEY HAVE NO TRACE.
GT GRANDMOTHER ELIZABETH BRENNAN B 1853 IN BIRKENHEAD.
THIS IS REALY DOING MY HEAD IN.
ANY IDEAS PLEASE

Have you got Elizabeth on any census to show her mothers name?

YES ON 1861 MOTHER NAME ANN BORN DUBLIN
ABOUT 1825.WIDOW SHE IS ON ALL CENSUS FROM THEN TO 1901AND DIED 1902 IN BIRKENHEAD

The Times Friday Oct 27 1854 page 7 Column B has a huge article titled 'The Loss of the Arctic', and the engineer on board is named as Tom Brennan. He survived this sinking and gave his account.
