Hi Carol, I found that Lawrence but he is the wrong one his father is William not Michael.

There is a birth of Lawrence GORMAN registered Sep 1898 Wigan 8c 63

Hi Selena, you have the right marriage Lawrence Francis married Annie Maria Banks on 8th Feb 1922 in Epsom.I don't know where Lawrence or his father Michael were born or where Michael died or how old he was.I will keep all Information i can get and try to work something out.Reg could be right Lawrence could have been born in Ireland and Michael could have died there.

The odds are that Lawrence was born in Ireland, and his father died there.

There is this death in Kensington (which has Fulham as a sub district - think Lawrence was born Fulham?) but no sure about a possible age for Michael?

Not sure whereabouts in the country you are looking but thre is a Lawrence, father John in 1901 in Bradford.
You prob. have seen but is this the wrong part of the country?
Age is slightly out (1897) but have you considered?

Thanks everyone for your replys ,It is Lawrence Francis Gorman on marriage certificate dated Feb.8th 1922 aged 23 years and i know he died before his son Kenneth was born in the September of same year. It is his father i am trying to find Michael John Gorman who is on the marriage certificate as Father deceased.Idon't know where to start looking.

There is a Laurence John Gorman born Jan-March Quarter 1899 in Fulham, London Vol 1a Page 306.

This would be right age for death April-June 1922 age 23 years

Could his middle name not have been after his Fathers Michael John Gorman??

My husbands Grandfather Lawrence Francis Gorman b.1898,died in1922 before his father was born so he knows very little about him,there is a Lawrence in the census that i have been following, his parents were William and Catherine and he had 5 siblings.I have just purchased the marriage certificate of Lawrence and his wife Annie Maria Banks and it gives Fathers name as Michael John Gorman (deceased) i can't find anything in the deaths and am not sure if he would have been born in England or Ireland.
