My 3XGreat Grandfather was a builder in Clapham, then Surrey. Is there any way I could find out what buildings he was involved in? |

I very much doubt that Im afraid. He he were a builder opposed to a worker then he may have left a Will? If he had a building firm that you may possibly find records of the firm. |

Thanks Heather, sorry I took so long getting back, I forgot I put this up earlier lol I will look at wills, as his son followed in his footsteps, and we still have a couple of his bits of furniture, so he may have done quite well for himself. |

Teresa You could try the local archives and the TNA or A2A sites. I did a search for one of my surnames on the Essex Archive site and it included details of a bill submitted by a builder. You might be lucky :) Chris |
