Hi Sue, thanks, I had hoped by obtaining the copy of the parish register it would have contained all the info as on other marriage certificates. I never thought Catholic parish copies would be so different. I have got the GRO number, but had hoped to save myself a few quid. thanks Lou

Hi Jay No the date is 1924. I need the ages & occupations in order to go back. I think I've found him as a youngster but can't confirm father's occupations as non are on the certificate. Lou Hi Linda, thanks for the info, do you mean the GRO cert doesn't contain the ages or occupations? Lou

I have the marriage cert for my gt grandparents who married in a Catholic church in 1874...it is just the same as a general marriage cert. When I married in a Catholic Church the registrar had to be present. Linda

Hi, I've just found the Catholic marriage I've been searching for but unfortunately the parish record doesn't contain the ages or occupations of either bridal couple or their fathers as I don't know anything about Catholic marriage certificates, would these items be included on the GRO certificate or would it be exactly as the one I've found??? Any advice would be extremely welcome. Thanks in advance, Lou
