Inis

Many thanks for posting the website address. I have found the baptism record which matches my original baptism cert for Margaret Sheedy. I have also found the marriage of her parents Michael Sheedy and Margaret Ryan on 4th Feb 1837.

I have had Margaret's bapt cert since I inherited it from my Nana in 1991, and have spent the last 16 years trying to get a step further on this line. I couldn't have done it without you.

Thank you again

Hi Inis, sorry I spelled your name wrong before.

That is a kind offer but I don't have much to go on really, all rather vague.

Thanks.

Hi Iris. Is the site ok then? I went on and was going to register but a warning came up saying that my information could be read by a third party. I am a bit suspicious.

Has anyone ever come across a first name of Colomb, variences of Coloumb, Colom, and a few more.

All I know is Ireland but looking through Irish names, Irish sites and all sorts cant find anyone else with this name.

Has anyone else came across this name?

This is one of my brick walls.

Seamus Hennessy, part of Cahir Mart. He was a farmer/landowner. This is going way back. I can only estimate his birth year. 1905?

Tom Condon, marries Hanora (Nora) Cunningham. Probably born around 1910?

Margaret Sheedy baptised in Nenagh. She later moved to Sale in Cheshire during the famine. I have her original baptism certificate which is very delicate, but for the life of me I can't find her ancestry. Her parents on her bapt cert were Michael Sheedy and Margaret Ryan, but they don't seem to exist in any records anywhere.

If anyone else is doing the Sheedy's around Sale area, or the Traceys from Altrincham, I would love you to PM me.
