Lyme Hall and Park is in Disley just outside Stockport, Cheshire and belongs to the National Trust. We used to go there for picnics many moons ago...it is a lovely place to visit. If you google there are quite a few sites about it. Linda |

According to some family notes, my Furnival ancestors lived in 'Lime Hall' (c1840's), Disley, Chester, England...cannot find any reference to Furnival's living in Lime Hall...supposedly upon the death of one of the Furnival's, the estate was turned into a museum so it couldn't be sold...Would be very interested in finding any information, please. |
