yes thats athought as the boys were 4 and 7

That's not too young to stay with grandparents. Perhaps the 2 at home with Mum and dad were ill and the other 2 had been sent there out of the way. Janice

The census only records where you are on census night, not where you live. Perhaps they were staying with granny and granddad - who couldn't cope with 4 in one go!! Janice

im trying to sort out some of my family,now i have my grandparents on the 1901 census with there children,but on the 1901 census there is my g,grandparents with two og there grandaughters,just wondered why two were with the parents and two with the grandparents,can someone tell me why ,thank you joyce from holland
