Helen No they are the films of the original entries and the staff are really helpful,don't trust the IGI on the LDS site use it as a tool only as it can be mistranscribed as happenned to me. I like to see the real thing now. Pm me if you need any more help |

I think the Mormon church have these films.You will have to look at their catalogue on Familysearch. If available you can arrange to see them at your local LDS centre. |

Thanks Jim These film that are held by LDS, are they not the same records that are shown on IGI? Sorry I am a little bit confused! Helen |

Thanks Joe, I will go a googling then. I thought perhaps you could order copies (ie. on film) and read them at your local library. I am sure someone has mentioned that before, but I could be mistaken. Cheers Helen |

IF the record you want is not online - i.e. a BMD or baptism on LDS site (though I would want to see actual confirmation of such an entry) then you would have to visit the archive of the town or County where the event occurred - Google 'Worcester archives' and you will find if there are other archives where the parish record may be held - though for a city the size of Worcester I would doubt there is an alternative. |

Hi, Can anyone tell me whether you have to visit the parish concerned to read their Parish Records or whether they are available to read at local libraries? I am looking for Worcestershire Parish records, but its a long way from where I am. Any help would be much appreciated. Helen |
