many of the trees on ancestry are also on rootsweb*com ....... which is free!

Yes, you do get access to the Public Member Trees. I must say I haven't used them, but I've just checked with a common name and I did get access to the information. I must admit I don't really use Ancestry to the full and I should look round the site more than I do. Kath. x

If one joins Ancestry does that give one access to 'Public Family Trees'? I have tried buying credits but that does not give access. Am I correct? Thanks
