have you tried googling Duke Of Wellington's West Riding Regiment - there are loads of sites, one may be of help.

Have had a look at ancestry.co.uk's WW1 Pensions list. Any Idea the year he was born roughly or the area, there's quite a few. Regards Danielle-Marie
