Southwark St Olave AP/CP was an Ancient Parish in the counties of Surrey (Poor Law/Registration) and London (Poor Law/Registration), in England. It was abolished in 1896. It was also known as St Olave Southwark. It was part of St Olave PLU/RegD; St Olave Lon_SDist; and Brixton Hundred. Status: Ancient Parish Description: An ancient parish was a village or group of villages or hamlets and the adjacent lands. Originally they held ecclesiastical functions, but from the sixteenth century onwards they also acquired civil roles. |
