Hello I have found i believe to be my ggreatgrandomothers sister Margaret Ann Briggs, born 1829 on the 1851 census for Burnley, Lancs, now on the Ancestry website it has a yellow triangle next to her name and an alternate name added (Margaret Ann Holgate) instead, how do i find out who added this info? when i click it shows nothing of who changed it. its a complicated family as i have a brother and sister (Briggs) marrying a brother and sister (Holgate) and im trying to work it all out!. Thanks hope this makes sense. Sharmala. |

It does usually give the email address of the person that gave the new info on the person. I checked and it did not in this case but if you go again to the census page on the right hand side there is a box called find a connection - if you look at that list you may find a contact with the same information as you. Good luck Irene |

I have had a look at the image - maybe it is because the transcriber couldn't decide whether she belonged to the head of the household - Mr Holgate or to the lodger Mr Briggs as she is shown as daughter to the head of the house William Holgate. (does that make sense?) Jane |

Hi I tried anyone researching for Margaret ann Briggs/Holgate like you suggested and nothing came up. Perhaps you are right, it could be her married name. Not another sister Briggs marrying a Holgate! Thanks Sharmala. |
