Transferring tree from here to Ancestry

Im afraid im not very good with computors- is there any way i can transfer my tree over to Ancestry without having to type it all out again? I dread to think how time consuming it would be. Thanks guys n gals, Nic x |

Hi Nicola Have not tried myself....but on home page have option of 'import/export tree'. You should be able to save your tree to your home computer as a *ged file. You can then go to ancestry and upload onto their site. Hope this works for you Sue |

Hi Nicola I did it like Susan said and it was OK. On this page...go to the green bit on the left hand side and click 'Import/Export Tree' GR will then send you a ged c om thingy to your email addy.Save it to..say your desktop... Go to Ancestry and import your ged c om thingy.......easy peasy!... and I diddnt even have to ask my grandaughter to help me!!!! LOL Give it a try cos if I can do it...anyone can. Gerri x |
