Thanks for this thread Pauline I have been after the answer to this myself the wifes family are Portugese but have been in India since the 1300s Iknow where they come from so I will check the registration offices. Paul |

Ive never got one from abroad but couldnt you ring the indian embassey over here, or the british embassey over there for advice? |

Can anyone advise me how to obtain a birth certificate for a someone born in India please? The person was not a British subject so I don't believe the GRO will be of use. Many thanks |
