Hi everyone I have Hector Willmore on the 1901 census with his father Edward, there are both lodgers, please see below for the 1901 census. He was born in 1885, but I cannot see him on the 1891, I have his father on the 1891, but Hector is not there, can someone else see him please. Thanks Ann

It doesn't say on the 1901 census that Hector is Edward's son, only that they're both lodgers.

Rebecca Willmore died in 1874, Buckingham, aged 25 so she couldn't be the mother of Hector. Oops, Reg beat me to it!

Also i cannnot find a record of Hectors birth although he is born in the right area where the family were between 1881-1891 they later moved to the Rossendale Valley

I think you can be sure that if anyone finds the birth, you'll know about it!! LOL!! If you buy his marriage cert, it should tell you his father's name and occ. As already pointed out, there is nothing on 1901 to say that he is Edward's son...........although it does seem the most likely scenario. Reg
