I am not sure exactly how you used to do that but it is possible to do the following: select a census year go beneath the search window and select a county select a region within the county. This brings up a series of enumeration districts, which you can search to find a particular district. So, technically, yes you can search by address but if you want to find all residents of, say, Acacia Avenue, I am not sure if you can do that as a primary search.

Can anyone tell me if you can search ancestry. co.uk census by address ??, Im sure you used to be able to, but I dont see that option now, or am I just not looking right. Thanks Sandra .
