Ah, thank you. The chap in question was rejected a pension, it doesn't say why though.

Hi I have just googled you are indeed right with the word you saw disembodiment also has the smae meaning as Demobilsed as in DEMOBED, See this website point 7 http://www*militarybadges*org.uk/mimage/mrolls.htm Replace * with a full stop Wendy

I'm very sure. It read date of discharge, date of disembodiment and date of transfer to reserves. First and last were crossed through. They're typed so it's very clear.

Am I right in thinking this would mean date of death? It's on a discharge paper in the Ancestry Army Pensions.........thanks, Liz
