My Great Uncle John Semple from Millom Cumberland, was killed on August 12th 1915. when the ship he was on the SS Jacona (Merchant Navy) struck a mine of Fraserburgh Scotland and sank, I have been unable to find a death record for him, then I thought could he have been registered in Scotland, would that have been the norm? Perplexed Pat. |

Have you looked at the CWGC Record. It shows his name as being on the Tower Hill Memorial - I don't think that GRO entries are always made unless there is a body, but others may know deifferently. Keith |
