I am looking for this family on the 1861 census. Nope nothing coming up. searched on William too and on soundex and on just christian names /birth year & Kent. but nothing remotely like them . Perhaps someone else can take a try for you. Shirley

A lot of the 1861 census pieces got lost. Take a look at the introductory waffle on http://www.sweffling.org.uk/genealogy.htm and then go to missing 1861 pieces. C

Hi Victoria, I can't find them either on the 1861 census, perhaps they were out at the time it was taken. This has happened to me on the 1891 census but I was able to find births in the 90's in the parish records and the family was at the same address as on the 1881 census. In case you haven't got the marriage details of John and Sarah here it is; 1st June 1846 and for certificate purposes June quarter 1846 Faversham 5 263 - Sarah's maiden name was Cork and her father was William as was the name of John's father. John's death details are - March quarter 1869 Faversham 2a 467. Hope this is helpful, best wishes, Maureen
