Yes thats her in 1861 . she went on to have 3 kids Amelia 1872 E lizabeth 1874 And George 1876 but on there birth cert's it says formerly Mason?

What are the kids surnames? Can you find them in 1881? Kristeen

In the 1881 cen there is a miss print hicks instead of wicks she went on to marrie my g granddad Robrt browning in 1888 and i think they changed thier names to browning.

I think formerly can mean several things but is probably the name she adopted when living with the children's father. I can't find a marriage record for Mason/Wicks around 1865/70. I think she may well be the visitor in 1871. The family above the Wicks in 1881 is an Ann Mason who is an unmarried laundress. Coincidence? Kristeen
