Thanks everyone for your input. Paul this is all I have - Surname Arnold father Herbert born 1900 he had a wife Elizabeth and three sons Edmund, Lawrence and John. One of them was the licencee of a pub in Bermondsey. Herbert was my uncle and my mother said (although this cannot be taken as gospel) that it was he who had a pub around 1940/5. That's all I know.
