Hi, have you been on the Tees Valley Site? They cover births deaths and marriages in the area. Just had a look though and it doesn't show anything up. It does have local links though. Jo |

Hi George, I had a similar problem and the only way is to plough through the GRO deaths fiche at a library or LDS centre until it turns up. I hate GRO searches so did 5 years at a time every time I was there. I eventually "killed him off" in 1922. The 1837 online site would be very expensive when you have no approx date. I wish there was an easier way, if anyone else comes up with a solution I'd be glad to hear about it. Gwynne |

I want to find the death of a Wilkinson Smith b 1856 Alston married Annie Little. They had three children while living in Darlington. All I know is he died after 1901. There is no match on FreeBMD and the only deaths on DurhamBMD are after 1981. Help George |
