Hi Theresa, The LDS have the original 1881 on film. You can order it at any LDS centre for a small fee and search it there. Gwynne |

Hi Brenda; Eliza Boakes was still alive on the 1901 census. I will change my post to reflect that. |

Hi Teresa Its From the disc I tried looking on the names index for Eliza but was unable to find her Is it possible that she had died ? because the eldest Dau is shown as Houskeeper Although Thomas is shown as married not as widower Bren |

Hi Brenda; Is this from the disc or the actual census form? I have seen it on disc but wonder if she was missed in the transcribing from form to disc. |

Hi Lynda; Thanks for the offer! I would love any information you could give me on Meresborough. Sorry I did not see the other message, I've been swamped with VRI lookups. |

Teresa Don't know if you got the message I sent last week, but I live practically walking distance from Meresborough cottages (presumably the same as Cottage Meresborough) If you want a photo or history of the area, a bookshop owner lives in one of these cottages and does history of the area, He may even know of your relatives. If you have no luck with the 1881 let me know and I will ask at the book shop for you. Lynda |

I need someone to actually look at this census film for Kent to see if my rellie was just missed on the 1881 disc. Rainham, Kent FHL Film 1341231 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 0974 Folio 99 Page 21 The address I have is 11 Cottage Meresborogh The family is Boakes. Wife Eliza born abt 1835/6 Gillingham, Kent is nowhere to be found on the census discs, I have searched the whole country. Eliza was definately still alive on the 1901 census, I have found her there with her husband. Thanks so much |
