Andrew sorry only just seen you message, yes it is a pity about the place of birth for a minute I thought you found her thanks for trying. Jill

Jill, Thanks, I see them now. Not sure what was going on there... Can't see any Richard Acklands on the 1891 census. The nearest I can find to his wife, Mary is the following: * Mary Ackland, Visitor, Widow, 60, Needlewoman, Salop Living at "The Engineers Arms", 15 Lincoln Street, St Philip & Jacob Out, Bristol She's visiting a couple called Robert & Amelia Hornsford. The Parish matches but the bad news is that a birth place of Shropshire hardly matches with Devonport.

I may be being a bit dim here, but was unable to find them on the 1881 census as well, based on the information Jill provided. A.

Hi can someone please look for me :- Richard Ackland and his wife Mary both born in Devon. On the 1881 they were living at 1 Lynes Court St Philip&Jacob in Bristol with their daughter Mary Jane. So they should still be in Bristol in 1891.Many thanks. Jill
