Thanks Lesley...yes checked freebmd and a Robert Ridout with the right age doesn't loom up although there is one without an age....and I can see there are some Jane Ridouts who got married later but unless I can link Ann the child I can't be sure. |

Robert Ridout married Jane Forsyth mid 1850 and they had daughter Ann on 4 Oct 1851 - they lived at 2 Long Acre, Walcot (Bath) and Robert was innkeeper. He was bn Okeford Dorset c1821 and Jane bn Warminster Wilts c1824. I cannot find any further record - I'm presuming Robert died soon after Ann's birth and then Jane remarried so I wondered what the 1861/71 census might tell us...can you help me? in anticipation ....Tony |
