Can someone please tell me what information you get by typing the "Batch" no on the IGI family search site. Sue.................. |

The batch no. is the batch of results transcribed from a particular set of copies of Parish birth and marriage records, covering all records for a particular period of years. If you go into IGI batch numbers (the Hugh Wallis site) you can access the batches one by one for any Church for which the records have been copied and transcribed. Stan |

Sue, If you have already searched for someone on the IGI, you can delete their Christian name and year( just leave surname and enter Batch No.) press search, this will give all those with that surname baptised at that Church. To find those with the same parents, just enter surname, Batch No. and parent's names. June,Nr.Preston.Lancs. |
