If he was born before 1881,he should be on the 1881 census which is available free to view on the familysearch site(its in the links at the side)Or his parents should be on it if you know there names.You could look on free BMD for births and if you got his birth cert,it would give you his mums name,and her maiden name so you could trace further back that way. |

found great grandad in census he was born in yorkshire,but where do i go from here. what sort of places should i be looking the 1901 census made it easy but now i,am lost (also is ancestry.com worth the money) |
