I'll try 'Who's who?' next time I go to a main library. My rellie was in the Civil Service (Department of Transport) and I'm going to try writing to them, but I can't find the right address anywhere online :-( Also, I'm not quite sure when he was awarded it....some time after he retired in c. 1951 and before he died in 1960. I'll do that look-up if they're listed there. Sue |

I have a rellie who was awarded a CBE in the fifties. Does anbody know how I could find out any details, such as exact date and why he was given it? Any help appreciated. Sue |
