can't find birth

Member Since: October 2003 Posts: 111 Send Message	My great grandfather was called Walter Salter,(please no laughing!!) on the 1881 census his birth place is listed as SuttoN Hull and he was born approx 1859 but I cannot trace it. I have hit a complete brick wall. I know that he lived in Hull with his 1st wife Laura up until the late 1890's before moving to Grimsby to live with my g grandmother. Any ideas? Regards Jayne

Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 83 Send Message	I looked at Walter W and Laura E on 1881 - to get 2nd initial - looked at Yorkshire BMD and reckon it will be Walter W Solter B:1859 Sutton Hull - SUT/12/353 - Mick
