Does anyone know what the initials S.P.R.stand for after the persons occupation? I have found several instances of it in 1901 census, the occupations being Rivetters and Drillers etc in a shipyard.I dont know if its just me being thick not knowing what it means. Thanks |

Thanks for that Sue, I had never thought of that. I have been looking again at the census printout and it is in different writing to the rest of the form,so it could of been added later or something to do with the counting of heads? |
