I was wondering what exactly is downloaded when you click on the 'download' hyperlink on the LDS website?! I tried dowloading a page (presuming that that is what would be downloaded) to Adobe Acrobat, but it wouldn't open. Does anyone know what i should download it to, and how to stop it from trying to download to Adobe Acrobat?? Thanks, sorry im being slow today! Nic |

it automatically opens in Acrobat, so i can't see any way of opening it in another porgram, do you know how i can change the settings so that it opens somewhere else, please? Thanks for your advice anyway! Nicola |

Could you not just save the page that you want to disk? I have saved all my pages on normal floppy disks and can open them no problem. This way, you are not clogging up space on your PC either. |

i just print them out normally, so i might just carry on doing that, but its strange that they wont open in any other program, and that there is no way (that i can see) of chosing to open it where you like! |

'Download' selected entries from e.g. the IGI results page downloads a Gedcom file. Could this be what you meant? |

I agree with Marian on this one. Place the gedom in your family tree prog. or a separate file in it whilst you sort it John |
