Does any one have any idea how I go about finding French census or bmd records? I am interested on post world war 1. All the supposedly bi-lingual sites I've tried have turned into French past the home page and I only got grade 1 CSE!

Think you have to write to the Archives of the French Department in question. I did this and got a copy of a death certificate for 1866. I speak French, so if you need any help in finding an address/writing a letter or email, let me know. Would be happy to help. Ann Swabey
