Sally If I have already asked you this, don't worry, but I am still looking for my great great grandfather WILLIAM GRAY. On the 1851 census his wife SUSAN is listed as Head of the Family and gives her status as married. Her occupation is "railway labourer's wife". No sign of William. I can't imagine he was very far away but he has a v. common name and I don't even know when or where he was born. The family lived in and around Hardley and Limpenhoe at the end of the century. I know Susan was born in Halvergate and that she and William married in Cantley in 1831, so I guess he was born about 1800-1811ish. If you can help, great! LN

Helen, Yes I see susan, I have looked at all lodgers in 1851 census no one with his occupation. Sorry, if I can be of assistance please get in touch.

Can you find a Phoebe, James and Emily BRIDGES anywhere, or Isaac, Harriet and Isaac BRIDGES? They were in Norwich, but I think mayt have gone walkabout further afield. Emily, born 1830 according to IGI may be there as a lodger, but I can't find those parents. Some other possible misspellings could be BRIDGE, BRIGES, BRIGGS etc. Thanks very much. Sue (in NZ)

Thanks, Sally. Was there any more info with the Robert & Harriet families? Occupations, address, place of birth etc? I'm also wondering if the spelling of Isaac made a difference - ours had two aa's. Thanks again. Sue (in NZ- doing this while family watch the Olympics, LOL!)

I have a Frederick Whilding I dont know how old he would be but should be a baby or young child. I am very sorry I have no other information, I wish I had. If its too much trouble dont worry. Pat
