Seems to be a problem there, when you try to access it at night, there is nothing!! perhaps they are updating or something??

I find the images site extremely aggravating as there is so much toing and froing. I wanted to put a search in for a marriage but not to worry ot can wait. Ann glos

Hi I, too, have found that Ancestry was a quicker way to search FreeBMD - but one day I noticed that they didn't have info that was on FreeBMD. Presumably they don't actually access the active FreeBMD database, but their own parallel copy - so may be a bit behind when FreeBMD gets updated. cheers Christine

Hi I had problems yesterday trying to get onto BMD, was starting to think problem was with my computer, so relieved to hear I was not the only one!! Obviously they must have taken it off or something?

You can get freebmd via ancestry. You have to register but it costs nothing. The info is displayed in a different way and you can't search for bride & groom at the same time when looking for marriages, but it is quicker than FreeBMD. nell

I had another go just now - It just isn't opening. Interestingly, the FreeBMD images page does open. It can't be Roostweb 'cos that opens OK. Interested to see that they have a Cemetery Photos (only genealogists! ;-) ) link now. Christine

I use it all the time. I simply put Free BMD on the Google search engine. Only once or twice not got on to it. Ususally they say it depends on time or day. As it is such a busy site. Hilary.
