Hi Cate You may want to try looking for the name Minnie as my friend has an Amelia in her family and found that on the marriage certificate (and records) her name is recorded as Minnie. Just a thought. Victoria

Trying to think outside the box....You have found Amelia on 1901 Census, so i presume that it lists the other persons in the house. As Amelia seems to be hard to find, try looking for another member. Try her father or mother if they are listed. Remember that the census only recorded who was there at the time, it may be that she was away at the time of recording. At least if other members are still listed at the same address you know that they haven't moved. Happy searching, Mel in Oz.
