Peter one of my great pleasures is looking in bookshops. I am very lucky in that where I live there are two second-hand bookshops as well as several charity shops with book sections. A bus-ride away is an Oxfam Bookshop which is fabulous. My husband and children groan when I see a bookshop! nell |

As some of you know, its my b/day on 4 march, and one thing I always ask for is BOOKS. So today I had a look in both the locale book shops and made a list. Mostly on related subjects to this (the family tree) then desided to take a look in the charaty shops (we have about a dozen) and struck GOLD. In one found a set of 4 history books on peoples lives over a 1000 years. and a small box set of referaence books on science history and an Atlas. Ran out of time but noted sevrel local history books for other countys and towns Going back for them Mon. and I still have 4 other shops to look at......So if you can't find a book you need, in your book shop. try your local charaty shops you might get lucky. |
