I can't find croft / William Render in 1871.......He should be 16,17,18 years old. He is not with his mother.

I'm pretty sure this is the family in 1861. He was named Croft then 1861 census f58-f59 Thomas head married 40 ag lab, Youlthorpe Margaret wife 38, Youlthorpe Henry son 11, Youlthorpe Sarah Ann daughter 9, Youlthrope Croft son 8, Youlthorpe Allison son 5, Youlthorpe Elizabeth daughter 3, Youlthorpe Anney daughter 11 months, Youlthorpe

I am pretty sure that his parents are thomas & Margaret from Youlthorpe.....but thomas died just before the census & william/croft is not with his mother.

Do you know his parents names, or is this what you're hoping to find out? I found Henry & Herbert's deaths in WW1 ....very sad. In fact on Henry's it says his father is William......so this clears up that problem as well. thanks again
