An Olde Crone

An Olde Crone Report 10 Aug 2005 22:00

I have a Yates Yates in my family tree - you are right, there are quite a few. I also have Fish Fish, Briggs Briggs and Holden Holden. And Fish Holden, Briggs Holden, Yates Holden. And Holden Yates, Holden Briggs, Holden Fish..... James Holden and Fish Fish were indicted at Preston Assizes for stealing.......a Fish! Jane Merchant may actually be Jane Marchant ...the Fishes/Briggs/Yates/Holdens often married Marchants. If you ever get anywhere with this, I have an extensive, but very complicated family tree for this lot, all descendants of Owd Timothy o't'Looms, 1700-1789, of Darwen and surrounding areas.
