Just checked fo her death in 1931,1932,1933-no match i went through that option as her move down south might have been precipitated by margarets death.

The facts............. Your mother was born OND 1916 Veronica N.W.Macguire Sunderland 10a 1225 Family still in the same area then.......... 1901-1911 only 2 deaths countrywide for margaret of the right age ,only one in the right area.........1908. Dec .1909. Sunderland a Richard maguire marries-only the cert will tell you if this is margarets widower or his son,who would be 30 at this time. This cert for marriage= Sunderland 10a 1097 Buying this cert or the margaret death cert ,which might have an address on it to match up with a census address from 1901,will give you more certainty

Its ok ann, dont need to read victors message....... If you scroll down, youll see that ive compiled the whole family together after viewing 3 census images. I understand how the generations work out-all the kids are your great grand aunts and uncles etc. However,if youd read my latest snippet,Ive suggested the possibility that the margaret in question ,that brought up your mum was not her grandmother,or your great grandmother. As Ive said in a previous post the Margaret that youre trying to pin down looks like to have died in 1908. What is the anecdotal info with regards her-surely your mum must have said if she was an old lady or something when she was an adult herself, sayin the 30's or 40's? If we knew when you were born or if you ever met her, that would help-you havent given us a time range to deal with. Was she alive when you were a child- surely your mother must have mentioned something that pins her down to some sort of timescale-even if its 10 yrs out-thats better than 30!!!

how about the possibility that it was her great aunt instead who was called margaret ann aswell. This would make sense if her gran had already died, the eldest sister susannah had married in 1897,and she is the eldest sister around to your grandfather because eliza seems to have disappeared !! Which child is your grandparent from the list?

Sorry Ann - I didn't know there was the message on here as well as the ones you have sent me by PM. So do you not need Margaret's death now, because you already have it?? I'm confused because I thought you said she died after 1916????? Merry

Margaret had died by then.................. this is not a coincidence. Mar 1908 margaret ann Maguire died aged 54 Sunderland 10a 423 This links in nicely with the census ages, area, and is the only match for the whole of the country between 1901 and 1911.

Ann, do you need me to re-post the deaths 1901-1920 again, or are we now thinking that Richard and Margaret died after 1916? I can do 1916-1920, but I cannot do after this. Do you need it, or did you copy my earlier post before deleting?? Merry

Thats the same family as my 1901 census, with Susannah left home. Had a good look at this-ages on censi are altering a bit,but the family is definitely the same one in 1881,1891 and 1901. I'll pracey the children list

Just been contacted by Ann The Richard and Margaret I listed from the 1881 census are her mother's grandparents. So they are Ann's G Grandparents Hope this makes a little more sense. Ann is looking for the deaths of this Richard and Margaret. Victor
