Where do I go wrong!!!!! I have rung Ancestry twice this week and enquired about a subscription first time it was £79.99 and to day they said I could have a 10% off which made it £67. I said I had heard of people getting it for about £53 and she said she did not know of any offer at that price. Perhaps it is luck with the person you get on the phone.? I will try again another day. Silver.

Sorry for not replying to queries - got a lead on a new family line ... you know how it is! Yes, I did ring them, and haggled a bit, explaining that I'd seen it cheaper than they were quoting, and I'd like it at the cheaper price please. She went away to confer, then basically said 'Computer says - Yes!' Good luck. Bee.

Hi Sue, I have had ancestry before. Subs ran out in May. I have found that I cannot live without it, Even though im back to pre 1837 with most of my lines. I miss being able to just look whenever i want. Plus now that we cannot view the BMD's it is even more necessary! Thanks I will ring them. Pat x

I was buying credits for ancestry, but found i was going through them like mad , so last week i was doing a search and ran out of credits . I decided i had , had enough so rang ancestry , they offered me a 20% discount which made it £63 , so i said ok , and gave him my email address , he told me, as i was already registered ,and had been buying credits , there computor said i could subscribe for just £57-01. There is also a 14 day free trial anyway so if you try that, and find you like the site , then subscribe . I would recomend you ring them , you get better offers from them that way . good luck Sue

If you are subbing for the first time you may get a deal through Lost cousins website. If not you can register with quidco*com and get about £12 cash back by signing up to ancestry through the link on there.

Barbara did you ring them or email them? I am considering taking out a sub and wondered if it's best to do a free trial first or just jump straight in :) Christine

I've just taken out an annual sub. for just over £52 - it didn't take much haggling, just told them I'd seen from various sites that people had got it for about £53, and they basically said 'ok'! I'd rather use the £14 saved on certs, or something! Bee.
