Hello everyone I’m trying to find more info on Benjamin Harvey (born in 1809/1810 in Bedworth, Warwickshire). He lived through to the 1880s. I have records of his wife and children, so that’s no problem. But I’m now searching (and without much success so far, I have to add) for information about his parents and any other siblings that he may have had. If anyone out there can help in any way, I’d be most grateful. Dennis

Hi, I have just e-mailled Dennis and asked him to come back and read the thread, hopefully he is still around. Dennis and I are both looking for the parents of Benjamin Harvey born anywhere between 1809 and 1816! I know I opened a thread for it yesterday and hope Dennis has read that one too. I'm new to this, and I'm sorry but I've been sending replies as PMs, rather than pressing the Reply button. I'm now learning. One comment was lightheartedly asking whether BH-1810 had three wives called Ann, Elizabeth and Martha. Well, my perception is that Benjamin Harvey (born c.1810) married Martha Hannah ( = Ann) Walker in March 1831, and I am sure that he and she survived until past the 1881 census, living with their grandson, Benjamin Harvey, b.1871 (my grandfather) in Exhall, Warwicks. The Elizabeth of the said trio can only (?) be the wife of Benjamin Harvey (b.1797), and I have not been able to establish their link to my direct line, frustratingly.

In as far as the 1881 census entry has Benjamin Harvey b.1871 (my grandfather) living with his grandparents (BH-1810 and Ann born in Bulkington in 1816), that is definitely my line, as family word of mouth over the generations also happens to indicate this. So ... there was Benjamin Harvey (my great great grandfather), born 1810. There was Benjamin Harvey (my grandfather), born 1871. There was also an intermediary Benjamin Harvey (my great grandfather), the only son born in 1849, who died in 1874 at the age of 25 in Exhall, leaving a widow and four children. That’s why Benjamin (born 1871) lived a lot during his boyhood years with his grandparents. Benjamin Harvey (born 1871) died in 1952, and I knew him well.
