An Olde Crone

An Olde Crone Report 7 Oct 2005 18:42

(I keep getting thrown off GR so couldn't get back to apologise to Jess, who obviously thought, because of my poorly worded post, that I had discovered some new and unknown IGI spin-off site - sorry, Jess, someone has stolen my brain and substituted mashed potato!) All I can say is if I compare results from Hugh Wallis against results from the IGI, I get a different number of hits - but not necessarily a different number of individuals - using the same batch number. Hugh Wallis is useful in that it gives you other choices of Churches in the surrounding areas, but if you are just searching one register, then there is nothing to be gained. I dont have any trouble seaching by surname and first name only on the IGI and refining it to one area. Olde Crone
