I've sent you a message Sam. Anybody else who had a relative connected with this organisation, please message me. I am trying to learn as much as I can about this organisation. I will share any info I have found that might be of any help to anyone and I would love to hear other people's stories as a means of learning more. Thanks Al

Hi Sam, Sorry I don't know the answer to your question but you could try e-mailing the local records office: local.studies at lewisham*co*uk If the building still exists I could take a photo for you. Janice

My grandmother was living in Lewisham, SE London at the time she had my father, in a home called 'Lewisham District Assocation for the Care of Friendless Girls'. Does anyone know what this refers to ie is it a home for pregnant women who had nowhere else to turn etc??? Were any details of the women recorded anywhere as they seemed to come and go regularly according to polling records I've obtained. Did they actually give their real names or aliases because of their 'shame'? Thanks very much Sam
