The 1881 clearly says Emma (which may well be Emily of course) but with VERY clear second initial M

These replies have got me thinking that they are 2 different people now that Emily Jane was at the King household . [ Mothers maiden name ] Emma M must be Emily Jane 's sister Emma was born about 1874 and Emily was born abt 1872 . I willl have to wind my brain up , think it has ran down a bit . How come we can never see what is right under our nose but other people can see it straight away Thanks to every one for there help. Cath

Dea Report 18 Dec 2005 18:17

I would think Emma M could well have been married by 1891 and there are a few possibles There is obviously a connection to the marriage you found but look at the dates of birth for Emma. If your Emma born 1874 was married in 1883 - she would only have been 9. This Emma was born much earlier according to the census.!!! Dea x

No need for a slap Jess - you just got a bit 'carried away' - There still could be some connection but we need to step back a bit and have a think. Dea Xxx
