Hi Mick, Want to help but I've just looked through 750 records trying to find him. You have already found him on ancestrry I imagine - Have you got a few more details - How did you find him? Could you find him again? Please give me a few more clues how to get this image on my screen... Sarah :-) UPDATE - INTHE TIME IT TOOK ME TO WRITE THAT EVERYONE FOUND HIM.... Well done! :-)

Hi, Mick added the page etc after you and I must have started searching, I was going on the name. But Zoe seems cleverly to have found the family for him. Ancestry disappeared in the middle of me looking at the image and since then Ive had server error. WHEN I get back on there Mick, Ill send the lot I found to you if you want as surely they must be related? Ancestry home page has now changed but I still get technical error coming up.

MickT

MickT Report 24 Jan 2006 20:54

Yes. Zoe has found the right ones. The image is abysmally faint. Is it possible to enhance it in any way to make it legible. Mick

Merry

Merry Report 24 Jan 2006 21:02

Having saved the image and fiddled about with the brightness and contrast it might say Warehouseman!! But then again........LOL Merry

Sarah

Sarah Report 24 Jan 2006 21:04

Hi Mick, Eventually found it thanks to the folio number. Had a look anyway, Could the son be Laurie? or Laurence, it looks like he has a second name too. I'm not convinced that the first letter is a J though if it is then James seems possible - but then again - I'm a beginner in all this... ho hum... Sarah Looked on 1861 - There's a James born abt1826 in Lambeth, so I guess it probably was James
