Hi Sarah, I started to order today, saw the note about 'high volumes of orders'. Kept going, and also got a despatch date of 6th Feb. So I deleted mine, and have ordered them from the local Reg Office. Made a special trip to the sorting office, to post them. Hoping they will come quicker this way. I have never dealt with this particular RO before, but all the ones I have used in the past, send them out by return post. Fingers crossed Debbie

I wonder if they will increase the staff as they eventually did last year to clear the backlog. You'd think they would have been prepared this year for the inevitable upsurge in requests for certificates.

hi all i ordered 2 on the 10th jan, one despatch date was for 16th which came on the day and the second was for the 31st but came today, so perhaps you might not have to wait as long as you think, i also ordered one yesterday and the date for that was also the 31st so i dont quite know whats going on, maybe the bbcs programme makes everybody get busy....

OMG ordered mine last weekend said they will be dipatched on monday...hope they are and there is no delay!!

I've received 2 certs today which shouldn't have been despatched until today. Really please because I know what happened last time the programme was on. Hope it cheers you up. Lin

Just before WDYTYA started again, I ordered - the GRO beat their dispatch estimate .... impressed, you bet! However, I then ordered another one with estimated dispatch date of 27th .... bet I won't get it on Saturday. Ah well, the ancestors aren't exactly going anywhere are they? Wishing us all patience! That was unlucky Sarah, I ordered 2 on Monday, and delivery estimate was 7 days. I haven't the patience to wait any longer either, lol!!! Bev x

I got one today that I'd ordered last monday so suspected they may be getting a bit behind. Main tip I remember from last time was to order each certificate individually as the bulk ordering could slow it down by up to a week as they waited for access to all the bits you wanted Zoe

Hi All, Well it had to happen!!!!......just ordered a couple of certs estimated date of despatch........6th Feb!!......and there's a 'experiencing exceptionally high levels of demand for certificates' announcement....why didn't I order them last week!!! Sarah :)
