Diane the only thing i can think of is this.... Kingston-upon-Thames is the main register office that covers both New Malden and Malden (new heard of plain Malden before!! unless it is old Malden.) try writing to or calling Kingston reg office... 35 Coombe Road, Kingston upon Thames, KT2 7BA. Tel: 0208 546 0920 or 7993. see if they can help. The only problem i can see is from the genuki site it states that Kingston registers are now divided between Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames and North Surrey districts. So in case Kingston no longer holds the register you want... the details for Merton.... Morden Park House, Morden Park, London Road, Morden, SM4 5QU. Tel: 020 8648 0414. Maureen Thank you for that. Both my entry's are for 1946. The first is Jan/feb/march 1946 Surrey N. E 5G The other Apr/may/jun 1946 Surrey Mid E 2A I was hoping to tie one of these in to Malden Surrey. Diane

Hello Diane, I have a book of all reg districts. Surrey was 2A from 1/1/1852 to 30/6/1946 Surrey was 5G from 1/7/1846 to 31/3/1974 Hope this helps. Maureen

The One in Essex is called and Spelt MALDON and that has a 4a reference Kath x

Thanks Shelli I only have what i have given in last massage I do know it was surrey so it look's like both 5G and 2A could be the Reg Districts depending on weather it was old or new Malden. I tryed the web site that Horatia gave but it is a little to old Date wise. Sue I will give your one a try Thanks Diane.

Diane Just looked on multimap and found nothing for Molden. But found Malden Surrey, which is actually New Malden, there is actually a place called Old Malden but blink and you'll miss it. Multimap also came up with Malden Essex. No idea how to narrow it down. I would assume New Malden came under 5G as it is part of Surrey. Any other information that might help?

Shelli Not to sure of the spelling i do know it was moldon Surrey now i know there is a moldon Essex I have two name on the go one with the Reg 5g the other 2a i need to know if both or either was moldon Surrey 1946. Diane. x

Dianne no my birth was Epsom, the marriages i think was Sutton, Just looked up my nans ref ( never looked before i never needed it) and she married in Worcester Park 1950 nad her ref was 5G Also by loking round the web found someones research where they had listed their deaths with refs. From this it appears 5G covered..Surrey N, Croydon, Surrey Mid Eastern and Surrey SW. I would assume others area also covered as well. Do you mean New Malden? Malden Manor? or Morden?

Just checked my birth 1969.... registered Surrey North east reg 5G however I have marriage in Surrey Mid eastern in 1940 with the reg district 2A and a marriage in 1964 as surrey N.E 5G

It appears to be Surrey North East

My grandmother died in Sanderstead, South Croydon, Surrey in 1956 and I think her reg was 5 e or g. nell

Thats what i though but have found a late entry saying Surrey N.E. 5G Diane.x

As far as i am aware surrey is always been a 2, but might be wrong???
