Here Here, I really couldn't thank those that have helped me enough. They helped be inch that little bit further up the tree. :-) Imade a break though finding my Great Grandmother as a result , except now I can't remember how or where (what site) LOL If I could I'd use it for a few others on my tree. Thanks everyone. Gypsy Joe in China at the moment

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me too. I am still fairly new to this and I have not only found direct help and advice invaluble but also reading all the threads on this board teaches more than any reference book would. I hope that in time I will be able to help others as I have been helped.

I would also like to say thank you to all you helpful people out there. There are not many areas in life you find people willing to help without being paid! . After just a few short weeks of research I understand the buzz you get when something connects for you. I wish somebody had warned me about the piles of papers & scribbled notes I would collect!! Thank You . Angie

Hi Just thought I would say when I joined this site 5 months ago the people helped me and shortly after I subscribed to Ancestry ~ best site to invest money into. And I love the research aspect of the searching I am always happy to help people but the people on this site are the best not like other sites where you wait 4 months and still no reply LOL Zoe xx

Ditto! I also feel very guilty asking for help as I think people have enough to do without sorting out my problems! but mostly I've found that people on GC are a great help and I for one would'nt be where I am in my tree without them so thanks a million again Alison x

Hi yes, I've had so much help on here from some very kind and persevering peeps, I would not have got to where I am now without them, Stuck!! I am too slow to answer a question on a post, 6 others have already answered it before I have got there myself so I do some more specific look ups until my subs run out. So thanks to all those who have helped me too. Kat What is it you are specifically looking for? perhaps someone can help?

Hi, I agree with you there as well. With out everyones help here , i have now get some rellies that have had me puzzled at times. Some of the are still giving me problems, but thats the fun of doing it. I also have found that if someone helps you out ,you yourself can help others . So thank you to those that have helped me out over the weeks , i have now found some new friends on here . Helen

Couldn't agree more! I think the internet has seduced people into thinking all you have to do is type your surname into google and your entire family history will appear before your eyes! I have had the most brilliant help on these boards, without which I would have been stuck on many more occasions. In return I am happy to help where I can. After all, you never know, you might be helping someone to work out that they are related to you!!! nell

hi, just to say what respect i have for all those people who have helped me in the past. . i have just tried to find a relative for my own family tree and have trawled through about 40 quarters trying unsuccessfully to find them. as a relative newbie i often asked for help and only know do i fully understand what that might entail. so to all the people on here who offer help i would like to say a BIG THANK YOU. love linda x x
